Nowadays, people love home-improvement more than ever before. You see it all over the television. The more elaborate, extreme, and over the top the project is, the better entertainment it makes. Yet the truth of the matter is that these large projects aren't really the hard part. If you have a lot of space to work with, a substantial amount of resources to use, and license to do anything you want, remodeling your home is easy. What is really difficult is working with limited resources and limited room. Working in a small room and trying to do it cheaply, while still creating the best effect for your home, can be one of the toughest things you'll ever have to do.

We recently completed a small bathroom remodeling job in our house. We had been doing house remodeling for quite a long time, and we thought that redesigning the bathroom would be the easy part. You see, we had already finished remodeling the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, and all the rest. We left the bathroom for the very last, because we didn't anticipate it being much of a problem. When we finally got to it, we were surprised by how much was really involved..

Small bathroom remodeling did not look like it would be difficult at first. The problem was, we didn't really anticipate how little space we had to work with. Our house is not very big, but it is very intelligently designed. The layout is excellent, and unnecessary use of space is minimized. Because of this factor, the bathroom is very small and stuck in a corner. There is just enough room for the toilet, the shower, and the sink. Unfortunately, it is all pretty old and falling apart.

When we started the small bathroom remodeling job, we wanted to do more than just replace the old fixtures with new ones. We wanted more room for the shower, an extra bathroom cabinet, and a magazine rack beside the toilet. The problem is that we just did not have this option with small bathroom remodeling. We had to keep scaling the project back and scaling back some more. Finally, by knocking out a wall and extending the bathroom a few feet, we were able to fit in everything that we wanted. Still, it was no easy task. Compared to the rest of the house, as a matter of fact, it was pretty tough.
